Amazing neighborhood restaurant that was one of the best dining experiences on this recent trip to NO. The care and warm hospitality was something I haven’t felt in any restaurant anywhere in quite sometime. Food was original and delicious. A must when coming to town. The experience was excellent. Can’t wait to return again. The chef was even walking around dropping food to guests. That’s a team effort!

Me and my friends didn't have reservations, casually hoping to get seats for four. Even after lunch service had ended the staff got us seats. They had some of the best food I had in Louisiana. The shrimp and grits were immaculate.

The establishment itself is very quaint. Once you enter it has a warm, welcoming ambiance that is comfortable, artistic, and calming. The candle light mixed with the elegant table sets are amazing. Add to that the intricate placement of different dining areas. The food was amazing, we tried the Shrimp and Grits along with the Castella Family chicken. We had the corn & crab bisque soup for the starter. All of the food was delicious and well-prepared. I saw earlier reviews of bad customer service. This was NOT the case for us! The gentleman that welcomed us was kind! The hostess was kind as she seated us! And our service person (Clay) was knowledgeable, considerate, kind, fast, efficient, and thoughtful. We never had to ask for refills, he recommended awesome options. The service was 5-star quality. This is a must try stop for anyone in New Orleans!

Atchafalaya is a truly special fine dining experience in New Orleans. The place has a charming, cozy atmosphere that looks like it's straight out of a Christmas storybook, setting the stage for a memorable meal. The service here is top-notch; the servers are very proactive, they explain the menu well, and they never rush you. I had the Lowcountry Shrimp & Grits and the Gumbo Du Jour soup, and both were absolutely amazing. Even small touches, like the butter they brought for the bread, were fantastic. A couple of crucial tips for your visit: This is a costly spot, so I highly recommend saving it for your special days or occasions. And most importantly, reservations are essential! This place gets filled up fast, so make sure you book well in advance. For incredible Contemporary Creole food, stellar service, and a charming, romantic atmosphere, Atchafalaya is a guaranteed win. It's an experience worth planning for.

This was the best restaurant we ate at during our trip to New Orleans. We ordered the blue crab, the gumbo, and the shrimp, and the shrimp was absolutely incredible. Super flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and just delicious. We ended up using the bread to soak up all the sauce, and even finished all the bread because it was that good. By the way, the bread itself was excellent too. The service was also wonderful, everyone was very friendly and attentive

Atchafalaya was our very first stop in New Orleans. We went straight from the airport, and my only regret is not making a return trip before we left town. This place set the culinary bar high for the rest of our trip! I loved that it’s tucked away from the downtown bustle; it felt like a true neighborhood gem. The gumbo and the shrimp and grits were both hands down the best versions of those dishes we had anywhere in the city. The service was world-class: warm, attentive, and perfectly paced. An absolute must-visit that lives up to the hype! We’ll be back next time we’re in NOLA.

Great food (had brunch), environment, and service! You want to reserve in advance - 3 days recommended. It is filled with Lousiana vibes and flavors. Priced $$-$$$ restaurant options, and worth every bite! Dishes: Fried green tomatoes, Risotto, and Duck hash.

A truely luxury and delicious brunch in a lovely NOLA neighborhood. Every item was quite good, from coffee to grilled fish to shrimp and grits. The fried green tomatoes were a highlight, and I personally really enjoyed the cornbread with butter. The blue cheese flan was also tasty but a bit too sweet for our taste.
